Position: Full-time, Palmerston North – This would suit someone based in Palmerston North.
As a Support Worker in the Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, you'll walk alongside people in their day-to-day lives — supporting them to build confidence, make choices, connect with others, and live as independently as possible. 

This is full-time permanent POOL position. As a POOL staff member, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring continuous support by covering gaps due to annual leave and training. While your shift pattern will vary, you'll receive your schedule of 40 hours per fortnight in advance. Flexibility is key for this role, as you must be available to work both AM and PM shifts, weekdays, and weekends.


Skills and Experience:

  • A  Passion for People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people
  • Experience: Relevant work or lived experience preferred
  • Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives Principles.
  • Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
  • Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence and a registered and warranted reliable vehicle is essential to transport our people we support. We reimburse for mileage.
