Mō te tūranga | About the Role 

We’re looking for a Support Worker with a creative personality and a background in arts and crafts to help Annabelle flourish in the community. This role will be based at the Hōhepa main campus at LEAP (day service) and is a fixed-term position until 20th December 2024.

We value empathy, patience, and motivation, and are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills to aid Annabelle’s integration into the community. Your role will involve nurturing her artistic interests and love for Coldplay and Michael Bublé, while also encouraging her to engage in new activities and extending her skills such as baking, new sewing projects and going for walks in the community. This is a chance to play a pivotal role in preparing Annabelle for residential living and to make a lasting impact through your support of her independence and social skills.

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.

  • Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm

At Hōhepa the role of a Support Coordinator is what is often referred to in the wider healthcare sector as a Support Worker.
