Support Worker - Part-time Wellington

About the Role: 60.5 hours per fortnight
We are looking for empathetic, passionate support workers to join our team committed to providing genuine care, warmth, and kindness to the people who live and work in the home If you are someone who brings compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in making a positive difference to others lives please apply. Previous experience working with challenging behaviours and redirection skills is essential. Sign language would be an advantage.
Week 1 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 2pm-7pm, Saturday and Sunday 10.30am-7pm
Week 2 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 2pm-7pm, Sunday 10.30am-7pm
Skills and Experience:
- A Passion for Tāngata/People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people
- Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
- Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
- Practical Skills: The ability to assist with personal cares, including showering and dressing.
- Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working with challenging behaviours and redirection skills is essential.
