Mō te tūranga | About the Role  

This is a 1:1 position supporting a young woman to develop her independence at home and out in the community. You will work with her to achieve her goals and build healthy relationships, this will include supporting her in her day activities, building social and household skills.    

To be successful in this role you will bring enthusiasm, energy and a sense of humour to the role. You will have the ability to come up with creative solutions to challenging situations while being able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space. You will be passionate about seeing people develop and lead fulfilling lives.  

Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. If you are looking for a new challenge this could be the opportunity for you.  

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.   

Nga haora kua tohua | Rostered hours:  

  • Tuesday 9am to 3:45pm 
  • Thursday 9am to 3:45pm  
  • Friday 9am to 3:45pm  

Total Hours per fortnight: 40.5
