We are looking for compassionate, patient, and reliable Support Workers to support an 11-year-old young girl with special needs.

This is an opportunity to build a meaningful connection and provide consistent, supportive care that helps her feel safe, understood, and supported every day.

About the Role

  • This role involves supporting a female young person, including personal care. To ensure her comfort, dignity, and safety, applications from female candidates are preferred.
  • Experience working with Pacific families and delivering culturally responsive care is highly valued.
  • Location: Mt Smart
  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
  • Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
  • Pay: $24.08 – $29.97 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care and support aligned with a structured support plan
  • Support behavioural management and emotional regulation
  • Assist with personal care while maintaining dignity and safety
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Maintain clear communication with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues, while respecting professional boundaries, privacy, and confidentiality

About You

  • NZQA Level 3 Health & Wellbeing (or relevant experience)
  • Experience with autism, complex needs, or behavioural support
  • Calm, resilient, and patient
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Physically able to meet care requirements
