Role 1:  

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours a week, Sunday to Thursday 8 hours per day 

Location: Flaxmere Police Station  

Salary: $70,838.25 per annum 

Role 2:  

Hours: Part time 20 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday 5 hours per day

Location: Flaxmere Police Station  

Salary: $70,838.25 per annum ($35,419.13 prorated for part time hours)

Eligibility:  Applicants for this position must have the legal right to work in NZ and consent to undergo a NZ Police Vetting Process

About the role | Mō te tūnga  We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team based in the Flaxmere Station, as part of the Central/ Eastern district to help support people affected by crime and traumatic events in our community. Your day to day could look like: 

  • emotional support and practical assistance with support plans 
  • supporting clients to understand and access resources and clients’ rights  
  • providing guidance through the justice system, and safety planning of whānau and property 
  • connecting with local support services and counselling services where needed
