Royal District Nursing Services (RDNS NZ) is a not-for-profit provider of Home and Community based and Community Nursing Services to a wide range of clients in the Northland region, Greater Auckland region and the Southland/Otago regions.  We are now expanding our wings in Hamilton and Tauranga.

What's the role? 

As a part of wider team, you will assist clients and follow a care plan that includes following responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation
  • Shopping and Community outings
  • Giving medication
  • Personal Cares (showering, toileting etc)
  • Home management
  • Wellness Checks 

You will assist our clients in their homes and community.How we will support you:

  • Orientating and training you before sending you out into the community.
  • Providing you with the tools you need: uniforms, personal protective resources and a mobile phone with your live roster and communication channel to the office. 
  • Dedicated experienced staff who support you on a daily basis and will come out to you in the community as and when required. 
  • You will earn between $23.38 - $29.10 per hour, depending on experience and qualification.
  • Earn while you learn with free training towards NZQA Health & Wellbeing.
  • Employee Assistance programme service anytime you need health and wellbeing support.
  • Will be moved to permanent guaranteed hours contract in couple of weeks.

What are we looking for?

  • Caring and Empathetic – a desire to help and support others.
  • Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is desirable.
  • Healthcare qualifications are advantageous.
  • Most positions require full NZ driving license and your own car.
  • Eligibility to legally live and work in NZ.
