About the Role:
You will be part of a small team who are passionate about providing care, warmth and kindness to those who live and work in the home. The team will be providing a safe home environment where three flatmates can learn new skills, independence and build friendships with peers. You will be 'their person' to support them to interact with others in their community doing the activities they enjoy which will require resilience due to the higher needs of the flatmates.


Hours: This role is working 80 hours per fortnight Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm


Skills and Experience:

  • A Passion for People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people
  • Experience: Must have experience working as a Support Worker
  • Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
  • Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
  • Practical Skills: The ability to carry out personal cares, including showering and dressing.
  • Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role.
  • Relevant Qualification (or commitment to obtain): A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or a commitment to working towards this qualification, which will be funded by MASH Trust
