Support Worker - Fixed Term - Havelock North

About the Role: This is a full-time fixed term position November 2026 to December 2027 working 80 hours per fortnight
We are looking for a person-centred individual that enjoys being active and supporting others in their community doing the activities they enjoy.
Hours of work
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday working 6:45am - 3:15pm
Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday working 6:45 - 3:15pm
Skills and Experience:
- A Passion for Tangata/People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people
- Experience: Previous experience working with challenging behaviours, particularly in the Disability space is essential
- Empathy & Understanding: Person-centred focus.
- Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
- Practical Skills: The ability to carry out personal cares, including showering and dressing.
- Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role.
- Relevant Qualification: A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing is preferable or willingness to work towards one funded by MASH Trust.
