Healthcare Support Worker

About the Role
As a Support Worker in our Complex Needs team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes. You will work alongside clinical teams and whānau to support independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident working with clients who have high and/or complex health needs, and who can provide safe, respectful, and reliable care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support tailored to individual client needs
- Assist with daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, mobility, meal preparation)
- Support clients with complex health conditions and behavioural needs
- Follow care plans and clinical instructions accurately
- Monitor and report changes in client condition
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication
- Build trusting relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
About You
You will be:
- Experienced in complex care or high-needs support
- Compassionate, patient, and culturally respectful
- Confident working independently in a home-based environment
- Reliable, adaptable, and solution-focused
- A strong communicator with sound judgement
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience in healthcare, disability, or community support
- Level 3 or 4 Health & Wellbeing qualification (or willingness to complete)
- Full New Zealand driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings
