About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated support worker to join our team and help us set up a new home for 4 young men with intellectual disabilities in Aidenfield. These positions offers a stimulating and meaningful work environment where you can utilize your creativity to make each day interesting for those you assist. The four young men enjoy various activities such as playing music, being involved in sports and having a laugh with each other as well as some relaxing time to recharge!
You will be energetic, nurturing, calm, empathetic and able to work alongside the people we support focussing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting and extending people’s ability to access and be part of their wider community. If you are looking for a new challenge this could be the opportunity for you.
This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level pays between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.
