We’re looking for compassionate, committed, and physically fit Support Workers to assist a vibrant 21-year-old young woman who is wheelchair-dependent and lives with a brain injury.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Potential to increase to include morning shifts)

Location: Kelston, Family home environment with friendly dogs – dog lovers’ welcome!

About the Role: You’ll be joining a small, caring team focused on providing high-quality, person-centred support that empowers and enriches daily life.

The role involves:

  • Personal care and hygiene support.
  • McKey (PEG) feeding and medication assistance.
  • Communication and social engagement.
  • Encouraging participation in fun activities, and social outings.
  • Supporting and respecting cultural values and practices.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Speaks fluent English and communicates clearly.
  • Is physically fit and comfortable with mobility assistance.
  • Prefers candidates with knowledge of Te Reo Māori or a genuine willingness to learn.
  • Has experience with PEG feeding (training can be provided).
  • Brings a warm, engaging, and patient approach to care.
  • Is comfortable around dogs.
