Our amazing co-existing disorders service in Kamo, Whangarei conducts a unique modified residential based Therapeutic Community for tāngata whai ora facing addiction and mental health challenges. 

We are now seeking two skilled and caring permanent Support Workers to work either 40 hours per week (role 1) or 31 hours per week (role 2) covering the following rostered shifts:

Role 1
Sunday 7.45am – 3.45pm
Monday 1.00pm – 9.00pm
Tuesday 8.00am – 4.00pm
Wednesday 8.00am – 4.00pm
Thursday 8.00am – 4.00pm
40 hours

Role 2
Sunday 3.15pm – 10.15pm
Monday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Tuesday 7.45am – 3.45pm
Friday 2.15pm – 10.15pm
31 hours

The ideal applicants will have:

  • Ideally a minimum Level 4 Certificate in Health or related field (preferred)
  • A willingness to embrace the Therapeutic Community (TC) model
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in the addictions or mental health field (desirable)
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to this role
  • A full NZ Driver's Licence

  • A salary between $ 58,739 - $67,558 depending on qualifications and experience
