We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and compassionate person to join our energetic and supportive team as a full-time permanent Support Worker at our Adult Residential Service, located on a beautiful six-acre park-like site in New Windsor, West Auckland.

While this role is primarily based in our Adult Service, there may also be opportunities to contribute within our Family Centre, located on the same site. This is a 40-hour per week role (including one weekend shift).

Days and hours of work:

  • Sunday: 7.45am – 3.45pm
  • Monday: 2.15pm – 10.15pm
  • Tuesday: 1.00pm – 9.00pm
  • Wednesday: 10.00am – 6.00pm
  • Thursday: 7.45am – 3.45pm

About the Role

You will work with tāngata whai ora (people seeking wellness), supporting them in their recovery journey from alcohol and drug challenges. This role is about building trusting relationships, upholding dignity and mana, and creating a safe, respectful environment grounded in compassion and cultural understanding.

We are particularly interested in applicants who:

  • Have at least 1+ years’ practical experience in social services, addictions, or mental health support
  • Demonstrate strong people skills and bring warmth, humour and authenticity to their mahi
  • Have an interest in, or understanding of, Māori tikanga and Pacific cultures
  • Hold a full NZ driver’s licence
  • Have completed (or are willing to work towards) a Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (with our support)
  • Lived experience and connection to community are valued.

What We Offer

  • Salary between $57,159 – $65,748 (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • $2,500 annual allowance for evening/weekend shifts
