We are currently looking for an energetic, and proactive Support Coordinator to join our dynamic and vibrant team.

The Opportunity: What This Role's All About 

This is a busy and exciting role in which every day looks different. You will be responsible for inspiring your teams to enable great lives for adults with intellectual disability. 

We are looking for someone to join our management team, full time Tuesday – Saturday, as part of an established and dynamic team.

Support Managers take the lead on 3 - 5 residential services aligned to a support framework: community, specialist, intensive or integrated. The Support Manager is responsible for ensuring services are running to a high standard by leveraging organisational systems including reportable events, quality audits and team meetings 

Our residential services are staffed seven days per week, including evenings and overnight, so flexibility is a must to spend time with your teams. Generally, managers are responsible for 20 staff and are accountable for all aspects of team leadership including ongoing performance, review and coaching for a team that is working mostly autonomously.

A service supports between 1-6 people, usually four.  The Support Manager has overall responsibility for leading their teams to support individuals to achieve their goals so that every life is fully lived.

As we are a community, connection to our purpose and values is important. Engaged Support Managers are also involved in festivals, celebrations and other community events that keep the spirit of our organisation alive.

You: What Are We Looking For?

You will have proven leadership skills and be committed to positive outcomes for the people we support.  You will bring experience from the health and disability sector or transferable skills from within not-for-profit, health or human services sectors. 

Energy, resilience, well-developed interpersonal skills, and the capacity to bring creative ideas to the table will guarantee your success. 

You must have a full driver’s licence and be eligible to work in New Zealand.

Successful candidates will go through a police vetting check.
