The role
We’re on the look-out for a Supply Planner - Third Party to help us keep our global supply chain accurate, efficient, and cost-effective. This busy and varied role sits within our Supply Chain team and focuses on data integrity, inventory control, third-party manufacturing coordination, and reporting that drives better decisions through the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and enjoy collaborating across Demand Planning, Logistics, Quality, Customer Service, and IT. While we do offer flexibility on occasion to support a better work/life balance, this role is required to be based in-person, on-site at our factory in Te Awamutu - you need to be based in the Waikato to be considered for this role.
• Track and analyse key Supply Chain KPIs (e.g., OTIF, inventory cover, stock accuracy) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare inventory and SLOB reports for the IBP cycle to support planning and decision-making.
• Maintain accurate, timely dashboards and reports to provide visibility of supply chain performance.
• Create and maintain accurate product masterdata for the Supply Chain team.
• Manage full product lifecycle in ERP systems: new product setup, updates, and timely deletion of obsolete products.
• Release production orders to external manufacturers based on demand forecasts and inventory policies.
• Monitor global inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment across warehouse networks.
• Collaborate with demand planning, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution of supply plans.
• Provide leave coverage for Supply Planner
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in our Supply Chain processes, tools, and systems
Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes and skills:
• A proven track record within an FMCG environment and the ability to hit the ground running.
• 2+ years’ experience in supply chain analysis, planning, scheduling, inventory management, or a similar role.
• Experience using an ERP system (D365 preferred); strong understanding of masterdata and product lifecycle management.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability (dashboards, reporting, data validation).
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions.
• A strong sense of customer service and stakeholder management—able to work well within a team as well as independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or similar is advantageous.
