Reporting to the General Manager Marine and Cargo, the Supply Chain Network Manager is responsible for the establishment and management of Napier Port’s landside logistics service. Key to the role is engagement with customers, road and rail operators, and logistics operations to optimise commercial, operational and safety outcomes. 

The Supply Chain Network Manager will be accountable for Napier Port’s landside and coastal logistics operations service, the logistics service budget, performance to budget and performance delivery to agreed internal and customer delivery KPIs. They will work closely with Napier Port’s Commercial team to develop and grow our logistics service offerings and cargo through the port.

To be successful in the role you will need to be an experienced operational leader with:

  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in supply chain logistics, including the management of a logistics service
  • New solution/start-up experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to visualise outcomes, bring people on board and make decisions quickly
  • Strong commercial acumen with Profit & Loss and Budget management experience 
  • Vision and strategic agility
  • Superior relationship management and advocacy skills
