Stride Property Group Future Director

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the board of Stride Property Group as a Future Director. Stride is a listed portfolio entity, a property owner and manager of commercial, retail and industrial properties throughout New Zealand.  Stride is looking for a Future Director to join the board for 24 months. 

Ideally the successful Future Director will have some sector experience in:

• Commercial property – property development or project management

• Real estate construction and development – property development, project management

· Funds management - private equity, investment funds or venture capital

· Finance - commercial lending, capital markets and debt restructuring

· Market insight - understanding market dynamics and economic cycles

· Financial expertise – investment analysis; financial reporting and governance; capital markets

Experience in retail, property law and urban planning will also be highly regarded. Governance experience Is not required however preference will be given to middle or senior management or executives who have had some interaction with a board. 

Board meetings:

Board meetings are held 8 times per year plus one strategy session. You will be required to attend all meetings, some of which are held in Auckland and some of which are held remotely. There is also the opportunity to serve on the Audit and Risk Committee. 

Remuneration and/or expenses covered:

This role is not remunerated but contribution to the successful candidate’s professional development, such as a Directors Course, will be considered by the board.  

Term and commencement date:

This is a 24-month appointment with a commencement date of 26 March 2025.
