About the Role - We’re looking for a Strategy Analyst to support the development, ongoing refresh, and delivery of FMG’s Digital and Data, Information, and Analytics strategies. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Innovation, this role plays a key part in shaping strategic direction, providing analytical insight, and supporting priority initiatives that enable FMG to deliver strong outcomes for our clients and the Mutual.

You’ll work closely with leaders and stakeholders across Digital and Data and the wider business, contributing to strategy development, annual planning, performance reporting, and workforce planning — helping turn strategic ambition into practical, deliverable plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, review, and refresh of Digital and Data, Information, and Analytics strategies, ensuring alignment with FMG’s strategic ambitions and business priorities.
  • Undertake research, analysis, and synthesis of internal and external information to inform strategic decision‑making and prioritisation.
  • Contribute to the development of the Annual Digital and Data Business Plan, bringing together strategic priorities, initiatives, dependencies, and investment inputs.
  • Provide analytical input into business cases to ensure alignment with strategy and delivery of business and client outcomes.
  • Support the definition, tracking, and reporting of strategic ambitions, performance indicators, and capability uplift measures.
  • Build strong working relationships with Digital and Data leaders, emerging technology specialists, and FMG business leaders.
  • Contribute to broader organisational strategy development and priority initiatives as required.

About You

  • A strong analytical thinker with experience supporting strategy development and execution.
  • Confident undertaking research and translating complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic conversations.
  • Skilled in developing clear, concise written outputs such as SOAPs, business cases, and reports.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and motivated to make a meaningful impact.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is  desirable, along with an understanding of technology principles and business value drivers.
