Our ideal candidate would hit the ground running with knowledge of what our customers/chefs need and want in meat, poultry and seafood.
Perhaps you are from a chef background or have butchery experience? Equally as important we seek a person who can identify an opportunity, is happy on the phone or in person talking with suppliers/vendors one minute and customers directly the next, someone who has an easy manner, is personable and can influence others for positive results.

Manage accurate forecasting, purchasing and generating, facilitating and driving sales within the Meat, Poultry and Seafood categories, across a large geography (Nelson/Tasman/ Marlborough)
Closely working with the sales team to ensure they are fully knowledgeable and motivated in the Meat, Poultry and Seafood categories
Closely working and negotiating with vendors/ suppliers to ensure they are meeting expectations and fostering and building vendor/supplier relationships for the betterment of Bidfood and our customers
Identifying and promoting new opportunities, developing sales and marketing plans that deliver results
Maintaining and growing strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive growth in the Meat, Poultry and Seafood categories
