Sous Chef
About the role:
We are looking for a enthusiastic Sous Chef to assist with the day-to-day operations of our kitchens. This role reports directly to the Executive Chef and requires exceptional communication skills, culinary creativity, and the ability to inspire and maintain a positive, collaborative team culture. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a true passion for food and an unwavering commitment to producing and presenting dishes of the highest quality.
The perfect candidate will bring:
- 6 + years of kitchen experience or relevant qualification,
- demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen environment,
- previous leadership or supervisory experience within hospitality or food production operations,
- experience in stock control, food costing and production planning,
- ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment,
- strong understanding of kitchen operations, service delivery and quality management,
- a “can do” attitude and excellent communication skills,
- a passion for providing fantastic service and a genuine interest to work in the hospitality industry,
- enjoy working with a fun, diverse team,
- able to produce a quality product and maintain a high level of food safety and hygiene.
This role offers:
- $35 - $38 gross per hour with 30 - 50 hours week guaranteed
