Sleepover and Wakeover nights - Northern Suburbs!
As the first independently owned private homecare agency established in New Zealand, we continue to work closely with our clients and their families to provide exceptional support in each person's private home. We have a history of providing excellent care to our clients and excellent support to our valued Caregivers. We offer 24/7 care to our clients with a range of shifts to cover mornings, nights, sleepovers and wake overs , Monday to Sunday.
We are currently looking for experienced cares who are available for overnights shifts in Upper Hutt, Porirua and the Northern Suburbs of Wellington. We are seeking carers who are experienced with cognitive issues, able to provide personal cares and are confident working alone overnight, supporting their clients. These are considered wake over shifts, likely 10pm - 7am or 8am and you will be required to be up and alert, responding to your client as required. Ideally we are wanting carers with good availability across the week, and it is important you are not juggling day time hours also, to avoid carer fatigue.
We consider it a privilege to provide care to our clients in their home and with that we are looking for kind, loyal, gentle and experienced caregivers to join our team. We have a dedicated office team providing support and guidance to our caregivers. We have a registered nurse on the team to support you in your role and an afterhours coordination team to ensure you have the support you need should you work weekends and nights.
We require our carers to have a full driver license with a reliable car to get to and from their clients homes. You must have already obtained the right to legally work in NZ. We would love to hear from you if you have had experience with the following:
- Overnight experience
- Personal Cares; to include showering, dressing, grooming
- Dementia care
- Palliative care
Ideal Candidate must have:
- Recent care giving/healthcare preferred
- A clean full NZ Driver's License and a car;
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work legally in New Zealand.
- A clear background and criminal check.
