All about you
This opportunity would suit an experienced project coordinator/manager, preferably with a scaffolding background, who is good at leading heavy maintenance industry type projects. As a competent self-starting manager, you will be able to coordinate and administer projects with all stakeholders and manage industrial and commercial projects across the Waikato region, and will be predominately based in South Waikato. A hands on person when needed, who ensures project goals are reached through effective management of project timelines and timely delivery of goals.
Key duties include:
· Coordinate and administer tender records
· Scope work and quote to the client
· Coordinate sub-contractor agreements
· Mange variations of contracted work to ensure profitability is maintained
· Ensure work carried out is to Best Practice Standards
· Report on a regular basis to stakeholders to ensure they are aware of latest developments
· Ensure jobs are run efficiently
· Develop and maintain healthy relationships with all stakeholders including clients
· Ensure H&S standards are upheld at all times
· Skills and experience
Ideally you will have 2-3 years’ experience leading project teams in the heavy maintenance industry, complemented with a good understanding of industry standards. Knowledge of project management methodology with the ability to identify risks and issues which could affect the project and put in place effective solutions is important.
In addition you must demonstrate strong organisational skills together with an ability to work well under pressure, being able to lead others. You will also need to be PC savvy with good numeracy and literacy competence. Being safety conscious and having a valid and clean class 1 driver’s license are a must.
