About the role

With a firm but fair approach, you will be skilled at leading the driver team in a professional manner ensuring the smooth coordination of our milk collection and dispatching of our immaculate fleet  using our cutting edge technology.  This role offers the flexibility to work from either our Horotiu or Waharoa base, you will play a vital role in managing shifts, drivers, and allocating runs

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing guidance and support to drivers,  promptly addressing any operational challenges
  • Managing staff rosters, absenteeism and team meetings
  • Strategically allocating runs and optimising  drivers assignments for maximum efficiency 
  • Monitor all collections and proactively resolve potential problems
  • Answer queries from suppliers / customers
  • Organise and allocate resources to meet the collection expectations

Successful applicants will possess: 

  • Previous experience in supervising and/or managing people
  • Previous experience as a dispatcher, driver or administrator in the logistics /  transport industry
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient in communication and adept at building relationships
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and eROAD application would be an advantage but not essential
