Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

The SharePoint Administrator is a full‑time fixed term position that supports, manages and develops key Digital Systems leveraging Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Power Platform technologies to meet the needs and enhance the user experience of kaimahi and ākonga at EIT.

The appointing salary for this role will be Negotiable, dependent on skills and experience.

The SharePoint Administrator is based in our IT Team at Taradale Campus, reporting to the Digital Solutions Manager. The role will be responsible for:

  • Acting as EIT’s SharePoint administrator, including creating and maintaining SharePoint sites, pages, workflows, forms, Microsoft Teams sites, and providing end‑user training.
  • Developing and supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI reporting.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues across SharePoint, Teams and Power Platform services, and providing best‑practice advice to system users.
  • Managing documentation, business continuity plans, and system support processes for key digital information systems, including incident resolution.
  • Collaborating with Digital team members and business units on digital projects, training materials, system improvements, and ensuring systems remain current with Microsoft 365 changes

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong systems engineering capability across Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft server technologies such as Exchange, SQL, Skype for Business, and System Centre.
  • Experience working with networking technologies, including TCP/IP, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, switches, and/or broader enterprise compute or networking environments.
  • Analytical problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, easy‑to‑understand language.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation, including business requirements, reports, and user support material.
