Service Manager Cooke Howlison Trucks Dunedin
An opening is available for a Service Manager with leadership experience to manage one of the South Islands leading heavy truck workshop facilities. We are looking for a professional and motivated individual, capable of managing a dynamic customer led business with a strong commercial focus and interpersonal skills.
This is a unique opportunity in Dunedin with a business spanning Otago, Cooke Howlison has a dedicated heavy truck service facility specialising in the maintenance, service and repair of Scania and Isuzu trucks. As part of one of New Zealand’s largest independently owned motor groups, Cooke Howlison has established itself as a respected industry leader, with a strong focus on outstanding customer service.
To succeed in the role requires confidence, high standards and positive staff engagement to represent our brands with distinction. Cooke Howlison is focused on continuous improvement, investment in facilities and staff, with regular franchise training. Scania and Isuzu – two of New Zealand’s largest selling truck brands, are an exciting proposition for the right candidate. A background in automobile or truck servicing to manage all aspects of our truck workshop operation is preferred, but not essential.
You will need:
- Professional qualifications and or experience in the automotive industry
- Experience in supervising and coordinating service technicians and support staff
- Experience as a capable manager with the ability to lead by example
- A current NZ heavy truck/trailer driver’s licence
- A strong Health & Safety focus
- A strong foundation working with modern workshop management and control systems
- NZ residency
