Axis is seeking an experienced Service Delivery Lead to strengthen how Allied Health services are delivered across our clinics.

This is a hands-on leadership role in clinical service delivery, reporting to the Quality & Service Delivery Manager. The focus is on how care is delivered day to day : access, flow, consistency, and clinical service standards, rather than site management or pure operational oversight.

As Axis continues to grow, ensuring Allied Health services are delivered consistently, safely, and efficiently across locations matters more than ever. This role exists to support clinicians in delivering great care, identify and resolve service issues early, and strengthen how our services function in practice.

The Role

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
  • Auckland-based, with a visible presence across clinics (St Johns, Wairau Valley, Rosedale, Mt Roskill / St Lukes) and quarterly South Island travel

You’ll stay close to Allied Health service delivery, supporting clinical teams with service flow, addressing emerging issues, and reinforcing consistent clinical service standards across the organisation.

This role suits someone who understands how Allied Health services work on the ground and enjoys improving service delivery through good judgement, strong relationships, and practical action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support day-to-day clinical service delivery for Allied Health services alongside the Quality & Service Delivery Manager
  • Coach and support Allied Health Leads and their teams, including onboarding support and regular 1:1s
  • Apply ACC and healthcare funding knowledge to day-to-day clinical service decisions
  • Monitor workflows and systems (including Indici) to maintain consistency and accuracy
  • Step in during periods of peak demand or resourcing pressure to maintain service continuity
  • Manage low-level patient concerns and escalate appropriately
  • Maintain consistent service standards across all clinic locations
  • Run huddles and support clear communication across North and South Island clinics
  • Provide service delivery insights to support continuous improvement

About You

You’re practical, grounded, and comfortable in busy clinical environments. You make sound decisions without perfect conditions and lead confidently through influence rather than hierarchy.

  • Clinical training or experience in Allied Health or a closely related healthcare setting (registered or non-practising)
  • Experience working alongside and influencing clinical teams (physio, OT, sports medicine, rehab, or primary care)
  • Strong understanding of ACC and healthcare funding/contracts
  • Skilled at coaching and supporting people through influence
  • Not afraid of clear, direct conversations to uphold clinical service standards
  • Commercially aware, organised, and calm under pressure
  • Clear, confident communicator who builds trust

Why Axis

Axis is a place where people care about doing good work, supporting each other, and getting the basics right. We provide a supportive, engaging environment where people can focus on their craft and take pride in what they do every day.

  • Collaborative, interdisciplinary Allied Health environment
  • Competitive package with clear expectations
  • Professional development funding
  • Quarterly Axis Days for learning and connection
  • Team celebrations, shared lunches, birthday leave — and yes, a well-stocked treat drawer

If you’re an experienced clinician-operator who enjoys improving Allied Health service delivery, we’d love to hear from you.
