Axis is looking for an experienced Service Delivery Lead to help keep our clinics running smoothly and consistently. This is a hands-on operational leadership role working closely with the Quality & Service Delivery Manager, supporting our Allied Health teams and staying close to the day-to-day running of our clinics.

As Axis continues to grow, how our clinics flow and how we support our people matters more than ever. This role exists to make the day-to-day easier, reducing friction, lifting service standards, and helping clinicians stay focused on delivering great patient care.

The role

Full-time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday)

Be a visible presence across our Auckland clinics (St Johns, Wairau Valley, Rosedale, Mt Roskill / St Lukes) with quarterly South Island travel. Keep clinics running smoothly, uphold service standards, and use your clinical experience to resolve issues early so clinicians can focus on patient care.

This role suits someone who enjoys pace, variety, and improving how things work in real time.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Quality & Service Delivery Manager to lead and support daily clinic operations, including patient flow, wait times, room use, and communication.
  • Coach and support Allied Health teams to deliver consistent and efficient services, including operational onboarding and 1:1s for direct reports
  • Apply strong knowledge of ACC and funding requirements to day-to-day decisions.
  • Monitor workflows and systems (including Indici) to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Stabilise clinic operations during periods of peak demand or resourcing gaps, ensuring smooth service delivery and minimal disruption
  • Manage low-level patient concerns and escalate where needed.
  • Maintain consistent service standards across all locations.
  • Run huddles and ensure clear communication across North and South Island clinics.
  • Provide operational insights to support service improvement.

About you

You’re practical, grounded, and comfortable in busy clinical environments. You don’t need perfect conditions to make good decisions, and you’re confident leading through influence rather than hierarchy.

  • Clinical training or experience in a clinical environment (registered or non-practising) is an advantage.
  • Experience working alongside and influencing clinical teams (physio, OT, sports medicine, rehab, or primary care).
  • Strong knowledge of ACC and healthcare funding/contracts.
  • Experience coaching and supporting people through influence.
  • Commercially aware, organised, and calm under pressure.
  • A clear, confident communicator who builds trust.

Why Axis

Axis is a place where people care about doing good work, supporting each other, and getting the basics right, consistently. We’re committed to providing a supportive, engaging environment where people can focus on their craft, support one another, and take pride in their work every day.

  • Work alongside motivated clinicians and teams in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
  • A competitive package and clear expectations
  • Individual professional development funding
  • Quarterly Axis Days for learning and connection across the group
  • The little things that matter, shared lunches, team celebrations, birthday leave, and yes, a well-stocked treat drawer

If you’re an experienced clinician-operator who thrives in busy environments and enjoys improving service delivery, we’d love to hear from you.
