Royal District Nursing Services (RDNS NZ) is a not-for-profit provider of Home and Community based and Community Nursing Services to a wide range of clients in the Northland region, Greater Auckland region and the Southland/Otago regions.  

We are on a hunt for a full-time Service Coordinator for our child wellbeing team based in our office in Auckland !!

As a Service Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring that individual tamariki / rangatahi or those living in whanau (family) groups have suitably matched and qualified staff rostered to them, and any changes are communicated in a timely manner to the Complex Needs Manager & relevant House Leader. This role is about utilising you’re rostering and problem-solving skills. You will be a part of the wider Operations team and become a champion in managing the rosters for our tamariki. This role will require someone to work with team in a flexible and collaborative manner to ensure positive objectives are achieved. 

We are looking for candidates with the availability to work full time between Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week within the hours of 7 am to 7 pm

What is the role? 

You will be responsible for maintaining the master roster for individual rangatahi or tamariki/rangatahi living in whanau groupings. This will involve coordinating and rostering our support workers with appropriate skills, competencies to the child wellbeing homes (whare). You will be liaising with the complex needs manager about the rostered staff changes and ensure that complete rosters are available for our support workers in a timely manner. Daily tasks can include but aren’t limited to: 

  • Ensure your staff have permanent rosters and each staff member is at their guaranteed hours.
  • Maintain rosters which also includes managing leaves on daily basis!
  • Responsible for communication to staff, house leaders and complex needs manager. 
  • Covering any other associated operational and administrative tasks. 

About You 

We are looking for someone who has healthcare / homecare experience with strong communication and organisational skills 

  • Scheduling/rostering experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills, 
  • Keen eye for detail, to problem solve and display good decision-making skills 
  • 2 years’ experience in the Community homecare industry 
  • Ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment 
  • The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, managers, teams, and contractors. 
  • Ability to self-manage your work and efficiently organize your time. 
  • A high level of computer literacy
