Royal District Nursing Services (RDNS NZ) is a not-for-profit provider of Home and Community based and Community Nursing Services to a wide range of clients in the Northland region, Greater Auckland region and the Southland/Otago regions.  

We are on a hunt for a full-time Service Coordinator to join our team based at our Head Office in Auckland!!!

As a Service Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the rosters for our clients and support workers across the country.  This role is about utilising you're rostering and problem-solving skills. You will be a part of the wider Operations team and become a champion for your region. Utilising your effective communication skills to build relationships with the clients, support workers and the clinical team in that region. 

We are looking for candidates with the availability to work full time between Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week within the hours of 7 am to 7 pm

What is the role? 

You will be responsible for overseeing clients and support workers in a specific region on a day-to-day basis. This will involve coordinating and rostering our support workers smartly to ensure the needs of our clients are being met. You will be engaging with our clients, support workers, Clinical Coordinators and occasionally the funders for your specific region. Daily tasks can include but aren’t limited to: 

  • Rostering, short term and long term (including leave management) 
  • Relationship building with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Manage and schedule client and support workers rosters, in accordance to sector legislation  
  • Responsible for non-clinical communication with support workers and clients 
  • Covering any other associated operational and administrative tasks. 

About You 

We are looking for someone who has healthcare / homecare experience with strong communication and organisational skills 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills, 
  • Keen eye for detail, to problem solve and display good decision-making skills 
  • 1- 2 years’ experience in scheduling and or the Community homecare industry 
  • Ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment 
  • The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, managers, teams, and contractors. 
  • Ability to self-manage your work and efficiently organize your time. 
  • A high level of computer literacy
