Due to a retirement, we have an opening for a Service Assistant & Vehicle Groomer to join the Team at Cooke Howlison Dunedin.

The position available is based in our Hyundai, Isuzu, Renault division carrying out grooming on a variety of vehicles and providing assistance to our service team.  The successful applicant will need to have the ability to listen, learn and groom a vehicle to a high standard within set time-frames, experience in grooming vehicles is preferred (but not essential). 

The successful applicant needs to have an eye for detail, take pride in their work and personal appearance, and be a team player.  

A full driver’s licence is required, and you must be competent at driving both manual and automatic vehicles. As you will be dealing with vehicles, machinery and chemicals we require you to be safety conscious.  

 We are looking for someone who has/is:

  • A current driver’s licence (noted above)
  • Enthusiastic and motivated personality
  • High attention to detail
  • A team player 
  • Reliable and practical
  • Enjoys learning new skills
  • Good customer service skills

The job also requires that you: 

  • have New Zealand Residency or a valid New Zealand Work Visa 
  • have a current full driver’s licence
