About the role

Craigs Investment Partners (Craigs) is looking for a detail-oriented team player with experience in wealth management to join the Product Team as a Senior Wealth Product Specialist.  Based in our central Auckland office, this full-time permanent role that would suit someone with proven financial services  / wealth management experience and knowledge of associated products.

The role facilitates the management of a range of our financial services products that are used by our Investment Advisers with our clients.  These products may change from time to time, but currently include Managed Investment Schemes (MIS) and Discretionary Investment Management Service (DIMS) products.  This role is responsible for assisting with drafting product documentation, verification processes and controls, and due diligence cycles.  

The retail products are regulated under the Financial Markets Conduct Act (FMCA) which imposes a range of disclosure, reporting and processing obligations on Craigs. This role is responsible for ensuring we are meeting all regulatory requirements with regard to all disclosure and associated collateral. 

To be successful in this role you should possess strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.  

Key tasks of the role include:

  •  Managing the ongoing requirements of the regulated Managed Investment Schemes (MIS) and Discretionary Investment Management Services (DIMS) products governed by the Financial Markets Conduct Act (FMCA) issued under the licences held by CIP and Craigs Investment Partners Superannuation Management Limited (CIPSML). 
  • Managing the due diligence processes, verification processes and controls, review documents, and update and co-ordinate changes to offer documents and associated collateral as required.  
  • Monitoring legislative change, communicating to the business where appropriate and assisting with submissions on legislative changes and guidance as required. 
  • For any managed investment scheme products, ensuring all offer document inputs are verified and signed off by CIP subject matter experts, legal advisers and the supervisor as required ensuring these are not misleading or deceptive through misstatement or omission.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • a relevant tertiary qualification in finance, law or business (desirable)
  • financial services experience (5 years) 
  • proficiency with the application of relevant legislation and guidance as available to ensure products and services remain compliant   
  • a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • confidence in reviewing, interpretating and applying relevant legislation and guidance
