About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with property/construction experience to join our property team at Craigs Investment Partners (Craigs). This is a permanent role based in Tauranga and will play a critical role in delivering key property initiatives across our national office network.

With more than 20 offices throughout New Zealand, this role will lead the planning, delivery, coordination, and implementation of a wide range of property projects, including office relocations, fit-outs, refurbishments, lease-related projects, workplace enhancements, and strategic property initiatives, including our new Head Office development at 2 Devonport Road.  Reporting to the Property Manager, this is a hands-on role that requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and the ability to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with Craigs' strategic objectives and brand standards.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of property projects across the Craigs property portfolio.
  • Managing project scope, design, procurement, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and reporting.
  • Supporting the implementation and readiness of new office developments, relocations, fit-outs, refurbishments, and workplace initiatives.
  • Coordinating project activities across internal stakeholders and external delivery partners.
  • Driving effective change management and communication to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Completing procurement activities, tender evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Ensuring compliance with all contractual, technical, health and safety, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Building strong relationships with contractors, consultants, architects, landlords, furniture suppliers, technology vendors, and other service providers.

About you 

The successful candidate will be an experienced and proactive project professional with a strong track record of successfully delivering property, workplace, construction, fit-out, or capital works projects.  The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in project management.
  • Experience delivering commercial property, office fit-out, refurbishment, construction, relocation, or workplace projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, risk management, budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Experience managing procurement processes, contracts, and supplier relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and commercial decision-making abilities.
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • A proactive, highly organised, and solutions-focused approach.
  • Change management experience would be advantageous
