About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Property team at Craigs Investment Partners (CIP). This is a 20-month fixed term contract to lead the delivery of our new Head Office building at 2 Devonport Road, and will be based at our existing Head Office in Tauranga.
The Senior Project Manager will be key in establishing our new Head Office site and preparing the site for ongoing business-as-usual support, as well as exiting our two existing sites in Tauranga. With 20+ offices across NZ, this is a terrific opportunity to work on our brand-new Head Office building, which will be a flagship site for Craigs. The Senior Project Manager is a hands-on, proactive role, responsible for delivering outcomes that are on time, within budget, and aligned with our Strategic Plan, client expectations, and brand. Reporting to the Property Manager, the role is also responsible for:
- Leading the project and operational delivery for the implementation of our new Head Office site.
- End-to-end project management, including managing project scope, design, timelines, project plan, reporting, budgets and resources, risk registers, monitoring of the new build, and exiting our 2 existing Tauranga sites.
- Ensure change management is incorporated as part of our approach, providing full visibility to the Property Manager and Executives on progress.
- Provide clear communications within the Property team, Executives, and Teams.
- Completing procurement, tender evaluations and contracts.
- Ensuring all compliance, technical, insurance, and contractual obligations are met.
- Effectively managing stakeholders, working with Executive Representatives, General Manager, branch teams, Research, Dealing, Operations, IT, Marketing and People and Performance to drive a collaborative approach and successfully deliver project requirements.
- Monitoring and providing progress reports to the Property Manager, Executive, maintain and complete financial tracking to budget/cost reporting and ensure alignment with WIP and completion of fixed asset register.
- Working with our Property team and delivery partners, the incumbent must establish and strengthen good relationships (construction, architects, furniture, audio visual, security etc).
About you
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with significant project management experience. We are ideally looking for someone who brings property fit out experience, and construction experience across new builds. Suitable candidates will have relevant experience in a similar role, and possess the following:
- 5+ years experience in project management
- Experience in fitout work, office moves, and exiting existing sites to handover tenancies back to the landlord
- Experience in developing and maintaining detailed project plans, including identifying project risk and mitigation, managing budgets and cost reporting
- Experience in change management (desirable)
- Experience with managing and collaborating with subcontractors and vendors.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Extensive negotiating, contractual and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management with the ability to work autonomously, under pressure, manage multiple priorities and deliverables
- Pro-active and delivery focused, with excellent influencing abilities and listening and communication skills
