About the role

The role of the Senior Manager – Non-Financial Risk is to lead and manage an experienced team of risk experts and embed TSB's non-financial risk framework to ensure non-financial risk is being identified, evaluated and managed correctly. You will work closely with Risk leaders and senior stakeholders to deliver key risk activities. 

Who are you?

You will have demonstrated experience to provide advice and guidance in relation to Bank top risks and emerging risks and will act as a reliable partner to the business in risk matters.

Your ability to build strong working relations with senior leaders in conjunction with the broader Non-financial Risk team, and wider Risk teams, will enable you to deliver risk reporting and input into business unit risk fora and risk governance.

A deep understanding of Regulatory and Operational Risk management practices and current regulatory trends in the banking/financial services sector is critical. This will enable effective integration across three lines of accountability and alignment with the requirements of relative risk management policies and standards.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Provide advice, oversight and challenge in relation to Non-Financial Risk in alignment with TSB’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Provide guidance on and oversee the development, drafting and enhancement non-financial risk policies, standards and procedures.
  • Support and provide guidance on interim and / or tactical measures designed to enable the long-term realisation of high-quality non-financial risk management practices.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • 10+ years’ experience in the financial services sector
  • Solid understanding of Operational risk and Compliance frameworks and processes
  • Prior management experience in a Risk leadership role and in Line 2 assurance practices.
