Due to the growth of our local, national and international schedule of work, we are looking for a Senior Communications Consultant to join their team in Tauranga.

The Role

As a Senior Communications Consultant, you will assist a range of influential clients in the private and public sectors.

The role is client-facing where no two days will be the same. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic communications planning and advice (writing strategy, leading client workshops and liaison)
  • Crisis communications management and planning
  • Driving innovative visual communications
  • Media engagement (media planning and relationship building)
  • Drafting annual reports, a range of documents and presentations
  • Developing content for websites and social media channels
  • Media monitoring and analysis
  • Thought-leadership, including writing blogs and op-eds
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
  • Travel to visit clients across Aotearoa 

Your Profile

You will be working at a senior level, with motivation to progress your career even further. You will have strong proven ability in strategic communications and understand how to work effectively in an agency/consultancy setting.  You will most likely have a relevant qualification in Communications/PR, Journalism or a related field.

Some knowledge and understanding of tikanga and te Reo Māori is helpful but not a necessity if you are willing to learn.
