The role
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the +MORE Bay of Plenty team, offices based in Mt Maunganui. This is a newly created position where you can utilize your existing commercial accounting skills across a wide variety of businesses and sectors.
This is an interesting and varied role where the key focus is working with the directors to lead the provision of sound commercial support to external clients.
Responsibilities include;
- Commercial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and reporting,
- Understanding client’s business/economic/environmental drivers of actual results versus operating plans and forecasts.
- Working closely with clients to ensure financial planning processes for revenue and expenses are captured.
- Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth and support clients with key decision making.
- Competently and efficiently review Financial Statements, tax returns, and any other documentation as required.
It is important that you are dynamic and willing to get to know the whole business as well as having a positive personality. Yes, you need to demonstrate that you are technically strong and can perform the fundamentals of accounting and tax, but just as importantly you need to have a calm, agile, client focused and self-motivated personality.

This role will suit someone who is nimble in their thinking but is conscientious, attending to the detail, and can take ownership of the fundamentals alongside complex problem solving.
