Senior Claims Adviser - Subrogation and Settlement
Are you an experienced claims professional ready to step into a senior technical role?
We’re looking for a Senior Claims Adviser – Subrogation and Settlement to join us on a fixed-term basis through to the end of September 2027. You’ll provide technical leadership while managing complex, high-value and large-loss recoveries and helping deliver fair, timely outcomes for clients and FMG.
The opportunity
In this role, you’ll:
- Manage complex recovery, liability and settlement matters.
- Assess evidence, recovery prospects and dispute risk.
- Provide technical guidance on disputed claims and escalations.
- Coach and mentor Claims team members and support onboarding.
- Complete quality reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify emerging risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support workflow oversight and operational continuity when delegated.
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience at a senior level, ideally within insurance, financial services or a customer-focused operational environment.
- Strong subrogation and debt recovery experience, which includes sound knowledge of insurance, recovery, liability and indemnity principles.
- Resilience, adaptability and the confidence to support and lead change.
- Strong analytical skills and evidence-based decision-making.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to coach others and influence constructive outcomes.
- A client-focused, empathetic and collaborative approach.
