Senior Automotive Technician

An opportunity now exists for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our friendly team at Bowater Toyota in Nelson. Our workshop is busy (no time to get bored!) so experience in a larger scale, busy workshop is essential as is experience working with Toyota vehicles.

What you will be doing:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on Toyota vehicles
- Repairs and maintenance on Toyota vehicles including oil and filter changes, testing cooling systems, transmission and gearbox repairs, fluid replacement, brake repairs, full suspension repairs and much more!
- Warrant of Fitness inspections
To be considered for this role you will need:
- 10+ years’ experience as an Automotive Technician
- Significant experience working with Toyota vehicles (Toyota qualifications will be highly regarded)
- WOF certification
- Previous experience working with hybrid vehicles (Toyota will be advantageous)
- Exceptional communication skills
- A “can-do”, proactive attitude
- To be able to work unsupervised
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence
