Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst Developer to join our Information Technology Services team. As a critical member of our team, you’ll immerse yourself in our world, gaining a deep understanding of our applications, our business, and the industry we operate in. As an all-rounder you will be analysing, designing, building, integrating, maintaining, and configuring interesting and challenging solutions to enable our ākonga (students) and kaimahi (staff) to succeed. This role comes with a lot of autonomy and scope to make your mark whilst working collaboratively with other members of our team and wider business, and following best practices. 

The appointing salary for this role will be between $101,400 and $133,000, dependent on skills and experience. 

The Senior Analyst Developer role is based at Wintec | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Technology Delivery Team Leader and will be responsible for:   

  • Analysing, designing, developing, maintaining, and refactoring solutions to meet customers’ needs. 
  • Working closely with architects, project managers, Technology Delivery Team, and Wintec kaimahi to fully understand the business and functional requirements. 
  • Working independently on complex challenges. 
  • Contributing to strategic initiatives and projects and executing product and service improvements across our current and emerging platforms. 
  • Coaching and supporting members of our team. 

He kōrero mōu| About you 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Development skills, including at least 5 years’ experience in .NET, C#, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, and the Azure ecosystem. 
  • Familiarity with code analysis, automated testing tools, completing performance tweaks to databases such as index tuning and ability to write fast, effective SQL queries. 
  • Experience in dynamic and delivery-focused environments. 
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills with strong problem-solving skills to analyse and fix technical issues. 
  • A degree in Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
