Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

Provide administrative, technical, and pastoral support for EIT’s Secondary School Partnerships programs, including Trades Academy and STAR, ensuring their continued success

The appointing salary for this role will be between $60,000 and $65,000, dependent on skills and experience.

The Secondary School Partnerships Coordinator is based in our EIT | Te Pūkenga team reporting to the Business Relationships Manager and will be responsible for:  

  • Administrative Processes: Manage academic results, student reports, enrolments, withdrawals, and compliance with Literacy and Numeracy requirements.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to stakeholders, ensure access to information, and liaise with external partners for transport and event coordination.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement moderation plans, monitor programme compliance, and report to academic committees and regulatory bodies.
  • Student Support: Provide academic counselling, monitor student progress, and collaborate with the Pastoral Care team to support student well-being.
  • Resource and Budget Management: Track material usage, monitor expenditure, prepare purchase orders, and maintain up-to-date programme and student information.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Administrative and Technical Skills: High-level administrative skills, advanced knowledge of computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases), and experience in data management, budget monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience and Engagement: Proven ability to engage with secondary-age youth, experience working with Māori and Pacifica students, and strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to provide advice and influence others, and sensitivity to cultural issues.
  • Special Aptitudes: Initiative, efficiency under stress, customer service orientation, ability to handle confidential matters, and collaborative teamwork.
  • Personal Attributes: Professional judgment and integrity, flexibility, responsiveness, and strong self-motivation.
