We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and passionate kaimahi wanting to join us in our vision to strengthen and improve the wellbeing of tamariki and whānau within our local community.
Working with our School Based Nurse, you will help with running school-based clinics swabbing tamariki in our local schools and providing support and medication to whānau.

The Role:

• Support the delivery of Say Ahh Rheumatic Fever programme via school clinics.
• Support our Nurse when following up whānau involved with the Say Ahh programme.
• Promote and support the Say Ahh Programme and ensure whānau and community are informed about the service and its importance to the health and wellbeing of Tamariki.
• Document all Say Ahh contacts in the electronic health record (Indici)
• Provide education and support services.
• Assist with access and referrals to relevant services.
• Build good relationships with the schools involved in the programme

• Enjoy working with whānau and seeing results.
• Can motivate, educate, and empower whānau. 
• Know how to use Microsoft office programmes and Health systems and databases. Previous experience with Indici is advantageous. (Training will be given)
• Have proven experience working effectively within the community.
• Is able to work well as part of an integrated team
  
  Essential skills and qualifications include: 
• A Certificate in Health Promotion and/or Education is preferred (Job Training will be provided)
• Experience working with tamariki
• A Full and current Driver’s license
• An appreciation and experience working with diverse cultures.
• A First Aid Certificate is an advantage.

This is a full time, 12 month fixed term role covering parental leave 

Your normal hours of work are Mon – Fri 8.30am to 5.00pm (40 hours)
