We seek enthusiastic, dynamic, proactive, and detail focused administrators to provide outstanding experiences and service to tauira (learners) and staff. We have several opportunities available at our Dunedin Campus:
1. School of Midwifery, permanent, full-time
2. College of Work Based Learning, permanent, full-time and part-time options available - please specify how many hours you would like to work each week
3. Allied Trades, permanent, full-time
4. Academic Administrator, Dunedin School of Art, permanent, 18.75 hours per week
5. School of Nursing, permanent, full-time
Our preferred candidates will be highly organised, experienced, committed people who are looking for a challenge. They will have highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, a positive and productive team attitude including the drive to be a highly functioning member of a high-performing team. They will have outstanding relationship building skills which are customer-centred.
The roles require excellent skills in MS office products specifically word processing, spreadsheet and database use is essential, as are multitasking skills and strong problem-solving abilities. The successful candidates will be able to manage time effectively and be actively committed to ensuring timely services of the highest quality are consistently provided. Having previous secretariat skills in committee organisation and minute taking would be desirable.
The successful candidates will be part of the administration teams in each area providing frontline support to our tauira and administration support to our academic colleagues. A relevant qualification in office administration at level 4 or equivalent experience in business administration is required.
An understanding of cultural diversity and the ability to work with a variety of customers, along with familiarity of the tertiary education sector would be an advantage for both roles.
Preferred hours of work for all part-time roles can be negotiated and flexibility is available to suit the preferred candidates.
