Niagara Sawmilling Company Ltd
Transportation and Logistics

Since 1935, Niagara has grown from humble beginnings into one of New Zealand's leading timber processing and supply businesses. Today, we proudly supply high-quality timber products to building merchants throughout New Zealand and customers around the world. Our success has been built on investing in our people, embracing innovation, maintaining exceptional product standards, and delivering outstanding customer service. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a highly organised and driven Sales and Customer Support Team Member to join our Sales team in Kennington.

This is a full-time position working 40 - 42.5 hours per week and offers a unique opportunity to combine customer service, sales support, inventory support, and logistical coordination in one varied and rewarding role.

As a key member of the team, you will be the central point of contact between our South Island customers, sales team, production teams, and distribution operations. You will play an important role in ensuring orders are processed accurately, stock is effectively managed, and customers receive exceptional service every step of the way. One moment could have you entering customer orders and assisting a merchant with a product enquiry, and the next you could be forecasting inventory requirements, investigating a freight claim, proofing invoices, or coordinating product availability with our production and distribution teams. Your ability to communicate clearly, solve problems, and maintain accurate information will be critical to the success of this role.

While industry experience is an advantage, we are looking for someone who is organised, customer-focused, and solutions-driven. You will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a professional and proactive approach. Most importantly, you will enjoy working collaboratively, take ownership of your work, and be committed to delivering outstanding service to both customers and teammates

When you join us, you will become part of a welcoming, knowledgeable, and successful team that genuinely supports one another. You will work within a team of experienced and passionate professionals who are committed to helping each other succeed through a job well done.

This is an opportunity to build a long-term career with a respected Southland business that continues to grow, innovate, and invest in its people.
