Sales Manager - Fixed Term Parental Leave Cover
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Manager to join our Skyline Rotorua team on a fixed-term basis to cover parental leave.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building strong partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Reporting directly into Head of Sales (NZ) and working closely with both the General Managers of our New Zealand sites, you will play a pivotal role in driving domestic sales activity, strengthening trade relationships, supporting business growth, and showcasing one of New Zealand's most iconic tourism attractions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key trade relationships, supporting sales campaigns, attending trade events, and ensuring Skyline Rotorua remains top-of-mind within the tourism and travel industry.
The perfect candidate will have
- proven experience in a sales, business development, account management, or related commercial role,
- strong relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders,
- experience developing and executing sales plans and growth initiatives,
- excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of professionalism,
- experience preparing reports, analysing performance, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement,
- confidence coordinating and hosting trade, media, or stakeholder visits and events,
- a proactive, customer-focused approach and a passion for delivering outstanding experiences,
- knowledge of the tourism industry and trade distribution channels would be advantageous.
