SFS Imports Category Manager - Bakery
Simply Food Solutions Imports is seeking a commercially savvy Category Manager – Bakery to drive sustainable revenue and profitable growth across our baking portfolio, spanning both Imports branded and private label products.
This role provides an independent and objective perspective across the business working closely with key stakeholders. You will play a key role in shaping category strategy by turning data and market intelligence into actionable insights. Working closely with sales, marketing, business development, procurement, QA, supply chain and branch teams.
About You
· 5-8 years’ experience in category management, sales or procurement within FMCG
· Strong commercial and procurement capability with proven experience in sourcing, negotiation and managing supplier relationships
· A strategic category mindset with the ability to develop and execute category and sales plans aligned to market trends and business goals
· Confident stakeholder engagement skills, able to build and maintain strong relationships and collaborate cross functionally
· Solid supply chain and inventory management experience, including forecasting, stock control and maintaining continuity of supply while balancing costs and risk
· Strong analytical capability with experience using tools such as Power BI and Microsoft office
· Strong market awareness and problem solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and responding to change
