Reporting to the Managing Director, this permanent, full-time, leadership role will lead the business in the development of new channels and set the strategic direction for agents/dealers and installers and other channel opportunities.   This is an opportunity to provide leadership to a capable team of professionals, deliver on our strategy for the future, and add value in a well-functioning and progressive environment.

Your key areas of responsibility and accountability will be:

● Developing strategies and new business opportunities that result in a return on investment and meeting or exceeding sales targets yearly

● Accelerating business success by establishing and actively managing new, repeatable and reliable channels for non-traditional products

● Maintaining positive and productive relationships with existing channels

● Sales forecasting, monthly reporting and achievement of budget

● Provision of strong leadership to a highly effective sales team that is motivational, achieves sales targets and other pathways of success


  • A tertiary level business qualification is desirable along with a technical degree associated with the building industry
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading business development and sales within a relevant industry
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial thinking with an analytical mind
  • An ability to assess how new channels can work without adversely impacting on existing merchant channels
  • Commercial savvy with a proven track record of achieving sales targets from newly formed opportunities
  • An understanding of the link between customer experience and customer loyalty
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills used to promote positive relationships and increase brand loyalty and sales
  • Working knowledge of a customer centric organisation
  • Strong leadership capabilities and experience as a negotiator
