Roster Co-ordinator - Home Care Support Service
Te Oranga Tautiaki is our Homecare Service providing quality, personal, short or long term homecare with aroha and manaakitaunga for whānau in their home.
Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is an iwi mandated, kaupapa Māori values-based health and social services organisation providing services to our community along the East Coast of the North Island. Our health, social, education and community development teams have been working successfully with whānau for over 40 years.
About the Role:
This role plays a key part in the success of this service. Working closely with the Team Manager and the Registered Nurses, this role is responsible for ensuring the day to day Homecare’s are covered by our Support Workers, setting up whānau with the service, scheduling the cares and assessments, updating any changes to the rosters, regular communication with the whānau Support Workers and Nurses and providing overall administration support for the service.
From time to time you may also be required to jump in and cover cares if another carer cannot be found.
This is a busy role, requiring someone who can work in a calm and positive way while managing constant changes and pressure.
The role is full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm and rostered On-Call hours every 3rd weekend.
What we are looking for?
· Ideally you will have a Level 3 or 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or similar.
· Computer savvy – experience with Carecall and Remote Worker is an advantage
· Experienced in administration and coordinating multiple tasks
· Great communication and people skills
· A calm, mature approach to day-to-day changes
· Experienced in providing professional homecares
· An understanding of Te Reo and tikanga or a willingness to learn
· A Full Drivers licence
