The role 

You will be involved in all aspects of the river and drainage engineering activities within our northern area. Key responsibilities will include: on-site direction, supervision and safety management of contractors, as well as the undertaking of inspections and maintenance of councils river and drainage assets. 

About you

The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, possess good communication skills, and excellent work ethic. Having a solid understanding of farming operations and an ability to work cooperatively with landowners and contractors is a must; along with experience within the field of river and drainage, civil engineering works or agricultural contracting 

It is essential that you have a current drivers’ license and appropriate heavy plant and equipment licenses/certificates, and a good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices.
