About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and trusted Risk and Compliance Advisor who is excited to embark on their next challenge and are passionate about all things “risk”. An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a locally owned and operated bank, to drive and implement risk and compliance initiatives aligned to our ERMF and to help uplift our risk maturity.
You will have demonstrated experience working in the financial services industry in a second or first line risk role and have built positive, engaging and trusted relationships with your stakeholders, customers, peers and management. This role will provide a great platform for you to utilise your technical expertise and understanding of risk management methodology, where you can also play a pivotal part in the ongoing development and design of risk and compliance frameworks, as well as their implementation. The role is both varied and broad, that offers a range of opportunities for you to further enhance and develop your risk leadership and risk expertise, so you’ll need a keen eye for detail, good resilience and great communication skills.
At The Co-operative Bank we’re in the business to change banking for good. We believe that we are the only bank that is built on the ideas of fairness, mutual benefit and a goal of prosperity for all rather than a profit for a few. We give our profits back to our customers and we’re proud of it!
You’ll bring the following experience to the table:
The Co-operative Bank is a different kind of bank. We’re here to change banking for good. Since 1928, our customers have been at the heart of everything we do, and we’re focused on helping New Zealander’s get ahead financially.
Whether it’s help from one of our friendly teams, or a seamless experience with one of our digital solutions, we’ve got our customers covered. To top it off, we’re the only bank in New Zealand that shares its profits with its customers. It’s all part of the co-operative difference.
Here, no two days are the same. Our people are empowered to innovate, share ideas and let our skills take us in unexpected and exciting directions. But most importantly, we can be ourselves at work; we have fun, but still get things done.
In return for your passion and commitment to helping us Change Banking for Good, we offer an outstanding work environment, ongoing training and the opportunity to work with people who are passionate about making a difference. You’ll be amazed by our non-hierarchal organisation and the ease at which you can get things done. If this sounds like the role you’ve been looking for, in a place you could call home, get in touch!
